P5T4 Gluten from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo. Hey Everyone! Thanks for taking some time out of your busy lives to visit my blog! In this post I am going to report on the video project we did on gluten. My team consisted sixth graders Julie Castro, Kacie Burns, Shaday Thomas, and myself. I am confident that we did a good job; I hope you like it!
Our video project was about gluten and how it may effect different people. In our video we included information to try and help our viewers understand what gluten is and is they were sensitive to it. We
were so lucky to have so many amazing people agree to be part of our video, such as the fabulous Jennifer Burns who is actually Kacie's mom, Marie Cassel; owner of Sweet Marie's Hawaii, and last but not least, Theresa Quintero; a Nutritionist from our local hospital. They all played a big role in our production and we could not have done it without them! Sweet Marie provided the pro's to gluten free dieting, as well as information about her business in her interview; Mrs. Quintero communicated the con's; and Mrs. Burns helped with an extra interview that perfectly rounded up our entire video.
I think that our final video turned out very well and I'm proud of our overall completed product. Somethings we could have done to make it better though would probably be to have gotten more B-Roll and 1 more interview. I always end up finding at the end of a project that more B-Roll would have been nice because the truth is you really can never have enough B-Roll! Also we maybe could have changed the text-layover font to something more appealing to the eye. I think me and my team did really well for our first project of the year, and we worked really well as a team.
We got 13 vote 4's (highest), and 14 vote 13's (second highest). We got 5 votes for the overall best video and were chosen to be submitted to Hiki No. I think we did really well! I agree with the results because I think we did really good. Here are the overall results:
Thank you for viewing my blog! I really hoped you enjoyed this post. Have you ever made a informative video? If you have (or dream of) that tell me what it is or would be about. Please check out my classmates' blogs too!
